A Company Director known as our agency to locate out if we could help him. He told us that goods had gone missing from his warehouse however it had not been broken into. The Lorries had not been tampered with as well as the stock had all gone by way of the goods in department. This was happening every two weeks or so He suspected that many of the warehouse workers as well as the lorry drivers may be stealing goods and splitting the profits.
We put undercover operatives into the warehouse who posed as warehouse workers. The operatives had been employed for two weeks at the warehouse and they wore physique cams all of the time. Our operatives got friendly with the other warehouse workers. In the course of 1 of the night shifts a lorry came in and also the warehouse manager and 1 of our operatives got to function unloading it. A lot of the goods for the warehouse had been unloaded then the warehouse manager got into the lorry with all the driver and they drove off. He came back about half an hour later.
The Manager took our operative to one side and told him not to tell any person what had happened. The operative stated that as he was only there for a few weeks it didn’t matter to him what was going on. The Manager offered him either some money or some of the goods to keep his mouth shut. The operative had all this on film and video.
The lorry driver was the primary man in this scam. He would have numerous warehouses on his route with warehouse men that would help him steal from their warehouses. As soon as the lorry driver had the goods he would sell them to the other warehouse men who were also stealing for him.
Our client referred to as the police and also the lorry driver and warehouse manager were taken to the Police station for questioning. They had been both arrested and are on bail waiting to go to court.
